Germany have been boosted by the return to team training of Leroy Sané ahead of their World Cup crunch clash with Spain on Sunday.
The Bayern Munich attacker, who missed Germany’s shocking 1-2 opening World Cup defeat against Japan, completed parts of team training on Friday.
Therefore, the possibility remains that he could make his return against Spain, with the coaching team set to make a late decision on his involvement.
A defeat against Spain would mean a second successive World Cup group stage exit for Germany if Japan avoid a loss against Costa Rica.
